The Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks is conveniently located in downtown historical Pottstown, directly off of routes 100 and 422 in Montgomery County. We are 50 minutes from Philadelphia and Allentown, 30 minutes from Exton and 20 minutes from Reading.
Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks is a Pennsylvania state licensed school. Upon completion of your 600 hours of training you will be prepared to sit for the National Certification Exam. Our goal is to produce the top massage therapists in the field and to give you all the skills necessary to be successful in this exciting field! We also offer one of the lowest tuition rates around with flexible payment plans.

Angela has been a Nationally Certified Therapist since April of 2000. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy. She has been a massage therapy instructor since 2002. Angela is the sole proprietor of a private practice since 2000. She is certified in related modalities such as Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Massage and Pain Management, Sports Massage, Hot Stone, Thai Bodywork and Lomi Lomi Massage. Angela is the co-owner and director of the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks located in Pottstown, PA since March 2007. She, along with her partner Jim, instruct the day classes at the Academy.
Jim Funk has been practicing massage since 1992 and is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Massage Therapy. He has been an instructor of massage since 1996 and has taught over 300 students the healing art of massage. Jim is also the owner and operator of Rapunzel’s Salon and Day Spa in Lansdale, PA. His certifications include Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofacial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Lomi Lomi Massage, LaStone Hot Rock Massage, Thai Bodywork and Lymphatic Drainage. Jim currently is the co-owner of the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks in Pottstown, PA; where he also is an instructor of massage theory and practice.

Students at the Academy of Massage and Bodyworks will benefit from small class sizes while being educated in anatomy and physiology, massage theory and practice, and hands on practice in Swedish and therapeutic massage. The student will also become familiar with prenatal massage, infant massage, reflexology, chair massage, ethics, business practices, sports massage, as well as everything you need to know to own and operate a successful massage practice.
